However, the one area in the traditional construction of conservatories that has remained a problematic area is the roof.
Almost 95% of conservatories built within the last 25 years have been installed with a polycarbonate roof. This material has very poor insulation qualities and although advancements in the quality of polycarbonate has seen newer roofs fitted with up to 35mm of the material, the problems of the rooms being Too Cold in the Winter and Too Hot in the Summer have prevailed.

The example below illustrates a case in point for a North London setting for the elderly in care. The premises utilised a very large conservatory for relaxation and as a dining room for their residents. As a conservatory with a glass it would get really hot in the summer months and got quite cold in the winter making for uncomfortable conditions for the residents.
Our team was able to transform this space into a wonderful new room with our Insulated Ceiling with the PVCu finish and some LED downlights. They can now enjoy watching television, eating their meals and relaxing in the new room in the summer and winter months and it feels just like a normal room would. The smiles on the residents faces said it all for us when the job as completed!
